Gohei Mochi

Grilled rice dumplings with red miso sauce.

*Ingredients*
Boiled rice

15g Chest nuts paste
+Red mio sauce

bamboo skewer


*Recipe*
1. Boil rice, pound in a mortar. Make small balls (about 40g).
2. Skewer 3 dumplings. Grill both sides on a gridiron or over charcoal fire.
3. Mix miso sauce and chest nut paste well. Season with soy sauce, sweet rice wine, sesame, Japanese pepper, or grinded citrus peel if you like. If it's too thick add water, grean tea, or soup.
4. Baste the dumplings and roast untill it gets dry or brown.

Rice... 2 cups, 10 sticks of dumplings
